Out With The Old, In With The New

Day 698 – February 26, 2013. A few months back my kids tripped over my hard drive cable bringing it to the floor – roughly! The data remained intact and the FireWire 800 port remains functional. Unfortunately, the USB port is completely shot and my work computer only has an FW400 port. Although it runs quite well on my home desktop, it tends to flake out when I try to transfer data to it while at work. So thanks to a little bit of spare change, and a bit of a lucky find, I was able to pick up a 4TB G-Tech G-RAID for a steal! I’m pretty stoked about it because it has all sorts of connectivity options and twice the capacity of my old drive, which will now remain permanently hooked to my home desktop.
