Butterflies

A few weeks ago, while in Niagara Falls, my wife, daughters, mother-in-law and I visited the Butterfly Conservatory. Unfortunately, our middle child became traumatized as butterflies were getting a little too close for her comfort, so I didn’t get many shots. But these were a few that did come out.

      Had to look it up to verify, but these really are butterflies. The general rule of thumb is to look at the antennae. A butterfly’s antennae are club-shaped with a long shaft and a bulb at the end. A moth’s antennae are feathery or saw-edged.
